Maleficium a Story of the Pendle Witches reviews

And there you have it, we're done ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks to everyone who came to our final performance tonight. We certainly pulled out all the stops!

Here are a selection of reviews from our audience for our recent production of Maleficium.

What a fantastic performance. Everyone had a really big part, and performed it so very well. Loved the scuffle scenes and the face slappings. Everyone spoke very loud and clear. There was no mumbling or nerves. Already looking forward to panto.

It was an emersive, fascinating and atmospheric performance! So well acted and directed (very powerful monologue at the end). Such a fantastic production and the team should feel very proud. I would like to see the play continue, either as further re runs St Andrews, or touring at different theatres. It was an entertaining and mesmerising experience and very educational.

The production was a very original, thoughtful and thoroughly enjoyable experience. The attention to storytelling and capturing the essence of this age old Lancashire tale was second to none and gripped me from the beginning. A very polished and professional production that is a credit to the writer, the actors and all the backstage crew - highly recommended - nothing Amateur about this show ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘Œ Mark

Last night I went to see Sata Theatreโ€™s performance of their play called Maleficium. I was hugely impressed and felt it was their best performance yet that Iโ€™ve seen. The acting and writing were top notch. It brought me to tears too, which is what good drama is all about. Helen

It was an enjoyable experience last night watching a story about the Pendle Witches. A decently paced, well written and well acted production, with some standout performances. Well done to all those involved ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Phil

Atmospheric and mesmerising and very enjoyable performance of 'A Story of The Pendle witches ' by SATA Theatre last night. The standard of acting was very good and with some very powerful perfomances the show is deserving of a bigger stage, although the presentation at St Andrew's Church Hall in 'the round' theatre style worked brilliantly. I didn't know what to expect before seeing the play but it was an excellent evening of well produced entertainment and learning about the real lives of women deemed witches at that time. Martha
