This artists impression of Preston c. 1685 was created by Terry Rushworth based on a series of contemporary measurements and sketches of Preston made by Reverend James Kuerden. These records had been lost for years until they came to light in a clear out of Townley Hall. Fortunately they were recognised for what they were otherwise they would have been on their way to the skip.
